Parov Stelar aka Marcus Füreder has been producing music since the beginning of the new millenium. In 2005 he formed the Parov Stelar Band whose explosive live performances have helped consolidate Parov’s reputation as founder and true visionary of ‘electro-swing’.
The band’s new album ‘The Princess’ is the perfect mélange and showpiece of Parov’s eclectic style, evidence that like a good wine this Austrian DJ and producer continues to improve with age.
The current single ‘Nobody’s Fool’ is a soulful electro-swing masterpiece, ably fronted by sultry-singer and princess of cool Cleo Panther.
I end my post with a fabulous offering from one of Parov’s earlier albums; here he is joined by his singer wife Lilja Bloom whose smokey vocals perfectly compliment the wonderfully moody and emotional title track from the 2009 release ‘Coco’.
